With computer upgrade consultations, we open up your existing computer, review any of its manuals, and provide you with an evaluation of its upgrade possibilities. We’ll even provide you with a comparison to new computer costs to determine if upgrading is the right approach. PC System & Peripherals Sales & Installations - We can help you acquire the right computer system or peripheral equipment (monitors, printers, scanners, etc.) for your needs. Our consultations and analysis help you to understand your needs and what is currently available in the market place. We also help you determine what you probably don’t need. Armed with a better understanding of what you are looking for, you can purchase a computer system or peripheral from your own sources, or we can recommend sources we feel are reliable and represent some of the best deals currently available. If you like, we can even purchase the computer system for you, deliver it and set it up in your home or business. Even on purchases you make on your own, you can call us in to do the installations and configurations. Optional Windows and PC tutoring is also available at time of delivery. PC/Windows Tutoring - We provide on-site tutoring to help you get more quickly acquainted with your personal computer, Windows and many Windows-based programs. We currently provide basic tutoring on Windows 95 and 98, Internet Explorer, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Works, and MS Publisher. Windows Networks - Have a small business, or even a home-based business, that you would like to make more efficient? Want your staff to have access to shared files, printers and other resources, and overall better communications? Get a low-cost evaluation and analysis from us regarding the types of networks that could be installed in your office, and the estimated costs. We can even furnish the equipment and cabling, and do the installation in most cases. Desktop Publishing (DTP) - Need to design newsletters, brochures, announcements, flyers, etc.? We can help, taking one of two different approaches using the Microsoft Publisher program. We can either provide tutoring to help you learn more quickly how to use Publisher, thus developing your skills to publish your own materials in-house. Technical Support & Information
- For established customers, respond to telephone or email inquiries (on a very reasonable fee charge basis)
- You may purchase our Discount Service Plan (DSP) within the first 30 days following your purchase of a new computer through MDISNET. Under the DSP service plan, you purchase 10 hours of service work from MDISNET without additional labor charges during your first year of the new computer ownership. The plan expires at the end of the first year. Parts are not covered under this plan, only labor. The DSP can be used for any service work on the computer you purchased. As examples, you could use the DSP for:
- Assistance from MDISNET to handle a warranty matter for you : *Help with resolving a software or hardware conflict problem, *Installation labor of upgrade components, *Data transfers from old hard drives or other disks, *Software program installations, *Troubleshoot & resolve problems not covered under warranty. Tutoring in basic PC, Windows or Internet operations: * Set up Internet access, *"Tune up" your computer/Windows “
- The DSP represents a value of $450.00 but it is available to you at a 30% discount if you purchase it at the same time (or within 30 days) as your new computer. The plan is in effect for one year from the date of purchase of your new computer. You may utilize the services available under this plan at any time during that year, during our regular business hours (currently 9 AM to 6 PM M - F; evenings and Saturdays available by prior arrangement).
